LIMITED WARRANTY AND CLAIM PROCEDURE
Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. For major failures with the service, you are entitled to cancel your service contract with us and to a refund for the unused portion, or to compensation for its reduced value. You are also entitled to be compensated for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. If the failure does not amount to a major failure, you are entitled to have problems with the service rectified in a reasonable time and, if this is not done, to cancel your contract and obtain a refund for the unused portion of the contract.
The benefits of this warranty are in addition to your other rights and remedies under the law.
What our warranty covers
Bars N Racks warrants the products we supply and the installation work we perform against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use for one (1) year from the date of installation. Some products also carry a separate manufacturer's warranty, which we will help you claim.
What it does not cover
- Damage from accidents, misuse, overloading beyond the vehicle's or product's rated limits, or normal wear and tear
- Products modified, repaired or removed by someone other than Bars N Racks
- Parts you supplied yourself (these are covered by their seller or manufacturer; our installation work is still covered)
How to make a claim
- Contact us on (02) 9905 2422 or at info@barsnracks.com.au and describe the problem.
- Bring the vehicle to our store at 56 Chard Road, Brookvale NSW 2100 for inspection, with your invoice or proof of purchase.
- If the claim is accepted, we will repair or replace the product or redo the work at no cost to you for parts and labour.
Costs of claiming
You are responsible for the cost of bringing your vehicle to our store. If your claim is accepted, we cover the cost of parts and labour for the repair or replacement.
Repairs by others
Please contact us before arranging a repair elsewhere, so we can inspect the problem and fix it. If you arrange a third-party repair without contacting us first, we may not be able to cover its cost under this warranty. This does not affect your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, including if we fail to fix a problem within a reasonable time.
